Join Fold Architects for a tour of The Nordic! This project replaces an aging single-family home with six suites, including family-sized three-bedroom units, offering a scalable model for “missing middle” housing that fits seamlessly into single-family neighbourhoods. Each suite has a private entrance, outdoor space, and access to shared amenities that encourage social connection, including a communal outdoor BBQ area, bike storage and maintenance area, and backyard sauna.

Upper level suites use a reverse plan to provide living spaces with vaulted ceilings and views of the treetops. The building’s articulated façade and compact form relate to the context of the surrounding single family neighbourhood, while maximizing light, views, and livability.

With an energy efficient envelope targeting Step Code 4, The Nordic delivers comfort-engineered homes with heat pumps, ERVs, and high-performance appliances. Designed by Fold Architects and built by Cascara Construction, the project blends clean, functional architecture with West Coast and Scandinavian influences to create healthy, enduring homes for today and the future.
