Join the studio of Carolynn Wilson Architect Ltd for a 1-hour presentation of their design process explored through the use of multi media design techniques.
An award-winning, and published architectural design firm with local and international recognition, will showcase a few projects and the techniques utilized in their design process, including inspirations and ideas, conceptual hand drawn sketches, 3D computer modelling and the built work.
Following this, the studio is leading a 1-hour design sketching workshop. In a process typical of their project approach, the participants are the designers.
Each person will design a sanctuary, an imaginary place and space to inhabit in anyway wanted. The group will visually explore a site through photos, maps, site sections, showcasing examples of contemporary architecture, and examples of ways to draw and express architectural concepts. Site features, images, thoughts, texture, colour, the play of light and shadow or found objects can be the starting point for something unexpected and unique. Unlimited creative ideas and expression through hand sketching are encouraged.
Sketchbooks, graphite pencils, sharpies and coloured pencils will be provided
