Public Access, an exhibition of selected works, by photographer Quinton Gordon, is a subset of images from Land Use Application, a larger body of work that explores the relationship between people and public spaces in urban, rural and natural settings.

Influenced by the New Topographics movement of the 1970s, his photographs of man-altered landscapes and built urban spaces are direct, with a somewhat detached perspective examining the banal, often overlooked spaces, touched by human influence rather than picturesque scenes. The architecture and design of our built environments express the cultural values and priorities of their time, however, these are not static, and through his work Quinton explores this evolving dialogue.

Join us on Friday afternoon for Public Values: What Do Our Shared Spaces Say About Us? Sponsored by DAU Studio, Public Values is a lively conversation with a group of city shapers, to explore the relationships between values, design and social exchange in Victoria’s urban public spaces.

This exhibition is open daily:

Friday May 1 from 7:30am to 6pm

Saturday May 2 from 9am to 5pm

Sunday May 3 from 9am to 3:30pm
